Sticky Ricky

We recorded our sixth album in Mississippi again in 2025. Local bluesmen play on it, among them Grammy winner and harmonica player Charlie Musselwhite. We spent more time on the sound and the overdubs than ever before — and lyrically it's our most personal record.

Blues from the Mississippi and Svratka rivers

The band came together in 2015 out of the wreckage of the blues-rap-experimental Nuck Chorris Gang. Their very first show, at Eurotrialog in Mikulov, went well enough that an invitation to the next year followed straight away — along with a support slot for The Smokie in Ostrava.

A trio from Brno clubs
Who we are

Blues from the Mississippi and Svratka rivers...

The band came together in 2015 out of the wreckage of the blues-rap-experimental Nuck Chorris Gang. Their very first show, at Eurotrialog in Mikulov, went well enough that an invitation to the next year followed straight away — along with a support slot for The Smokie in Ostrava.

Since the debut Shovel & Mattock (2017) the band has built a solid standing at home and abroad. The turning point was Mississippi, where authentic hill country blues is still very much alive; in 2019 they recorded two records there, one with R. L. Boyce and one with Kenny Brown.

After a joint album with the English post-punk songwriter Phil Shoenfelt, the band went back to Mississippi in 2025 for their sixth record Sticky Ricky, which also features the legendary Charlie Musselwhite.
